I have a recently turned 3 year old who is on the spectrum. She is always asking me the same things over and over. And always wanting me to come do different things. Well with working from home it's not always the easiest thing to split my time with working, and then taking breaks to play with her. So the lady who does the parenting class I am in for her suggested me getting a timer for her. Something that was visual for her to be able to see that she has this much time, or when the color is gone then its time for mommy and her to do something. It has truly been one of the biggest helps in getting her to some what understand.

This countdown timer is a great way to help students with time management and it is not obnoxious when it goes off.

My kids have some older tech that they like to play, and it doesn't have a way to set time limits. In addition, my 8-year-old son has ADHD, and he needs a visual cue to know when his time is nearly up. This Time Rocket is exactly what we needed. The rocket is a good size and easily portable. You can set the time using the easy controls on the base, press start, and it begins the countdown. When it gets to 2mins, the light changes to yellow. When time is up, the buzzer goes off and can be silenced by tapping the top of the rocket.

The rocket is the perfect size for any use: classroom and home. I like the fact that it is highly visible, and my kids never have the excuse to say they didn't know they were running out of time. Arguments about turning off their devices have gone away, and the household is calmer.

I ordered this visual countdown timer for our homeschool classroom as a fun way to help keep us on track. This rocket is smaller than I had envisioned and is just over 8 inches tall. It needs 3 AAA batteries, not included. Although, it does come with a mini screwdriver to help install the batteries. The timer can only be set in whole minutes and hours such as 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes etc. So you can't do anything less than a minute. The timer switches to the yellow warning light after 75% of the time has passed (for 1 minute it turns on at 15 seconds, for 2 minutes it turns on at 30 seconds, etc.) There is a beep when it switches from green to yellow, which you may like but I personally do not. When it reaches red it is a constant beep until stopped. Most of the controls are on the bottom of the rocket. Although, pressing the nose cone will pause and stop the alarm. The switches on the bottom include: the alarm time, volume, pause, stop and memory function (where you can repeat the last used alarm settings). Overall, this is a well built and cute visual timer to help young children stay on track.

I bought this for my husband he is a Art teacher for K thru 4th grade. This will help him with getting the kids to start wrapping up there art work and still have time for clean up. This rocket timer is so cool. It has a timer, memory and volume on the bottom. It is like a stop light the green means start the yellow flashes and makes a buzz sound when the time you set is at the half way point and then the red is to stop. The top of the rocket you just push down to stop or stop. This is just a great visual for kids. It does take 3 triple A batteries.

My daughter is autistic and transitioning from one thing to the next is super difficult for her. Bath time especially is a favorite activity and getting her out is always a power struggle. Setting this for a few minutes and having the colors and sounds to help her prepare for getting her out of the tub is a game changer! She went from saying "no timer! Bath" to putting up her toys and getting out of the tub without a fight or without any words she just started putting away her toys and pulled the stopper up to let the water out

The timer itself was pretty self explanatory. It takes 3 AAA batteries that were simple to install and I love the added touch of the arrow around the screw so you easily see which way to turn to open without having to think. I also love the included screwdriver for the task! So nice to not have to search for the right size and I can keep it upstairs with the time for when we need to change them.

The number display is on the bottom which is kind of harder for me, since I can't tell her the minutes left unless I actually pick it up. But the light changes to the yellow and makes a sound as a warning so that definitely makes it being on the bottom less of an issue!
The alarm sound is pretty loud, I wasn't prepared for it and it startled me. The colors are easily visible as well!

Highly recommend for anyone who's kiddos struggle with transitions or that need something to keep them on a task for a certain amount of time!

Bright colorful its bright and musical tones. For family games it can sit in the middle of the table where everyone can see . It is not going to fall off of the table like an hourglass sand timer or dice or make a sudden shocking snap or nasty sounding buzzer. It's a cute centerpiece and great little device for timing events in board games for the family. The lights and tone give warnings for when you're running out of time. You can only set it in increments of one minute or more. A really nice gadget
